Surya Shakti is a dynamic flowing progression from one asana (posture) to another. It's
a beautiful and satisfying technique, evolved from a combination of different yogic styles
with a strong dance influence. Each lesson is uniquely choreographed depending on
the particular level students have reached. As well as the honing of asanas and
pranayama, there is massage and stimulation of glands using early Taoist techniques.
As your work develops we focus on elasticity, power and balance.

together.
Surya Shakti is normally taught as an intermediate level class. But just call up and have
a chat at any time about where you are in your yoga practice if you're unsure about

Iyengar yoga with Vickie puts the focus on precision and alignment. It builds strength with safety in each asana; and improves your posture and alignment using a carefully graded and systematic progression. It's incredibly rewarding and suitable for almost everyone, whatever your level of fitness.
DYNAMIC YOGALATES - BOOK NOW
Yogalates was originally developed in the west as a secular programme of exercise,
combining elements of classical yoga with pilates. (The origins of pilates is a
fascinating story in itself.)
In these intermediate classes the focus is on developing the core muscles, sculpting
and toning the body, increasing strength and suppleness, and crucially, developing an
improved posture.
It's an excellent workout for anyone leading a sedentary lifestyle at work or getting
back into shape after a period away from regular exercise.
Unlike the more extreme physical stretches of certain yoga techniques yogalates draws
on the founding principles of pilates, and works within the parameters of natural
balanced postures. At its heart is controlled use of breathing and concentration. It's a fusion
of mind and body; and an enervating class to help banish fatigue and fill you with
energy.

YOGA FOUNDATION - BOOK NOW
This is not just a course for beginners; But for anyone wishing to develop their technique
and put in some sustained practice before moving on to other levels and other forms of
yoga.
We explore the basic asanas (physical postures) and pranayama (breath control) that
underpin yogic technique. There's an introduction to the philosophies that lie at the heart
of yogic life. Whether your quest is primarily physical or spiritual the journey towards
an enlightening balance of heart, mind and body starts here.
BODY CONTROL PILATES (BC PLIATES) - BOOK NOW
Pilates targets the deep postural muscles, building strength from the inside out, rebalancing the body and bringing it into correct alignment. It helps to reshape your body, making it longer, leaner and more toned. It will also improve your posture, achieving the perfect balance between strength and flexibility without adding bulk, and it is a great way to relieve stress and tension. Perfect for athletes wanting to enhance their performance and avoid injury, it is also ideal for first-time exercisers. It's slow, controlled approach means that it gives much longer-term results and it is especially recommended my medical specialists for those with back problems.
All classes will be small (max 6 people) and taught in 6 week blocks using a progressive approach. You'll be asked to complete an enrolment form where you can give details of any injuries or conditions. Exercising safely is paramount. All equipment is provided, you just bring yourself and wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.
